About Me

More Than Support — Helping Children Believe in Themselves

My journey in education has taught me that every child learns differently. As a Teaching Assistant, I have had the opportunity to work closely with children, support their learning and development, and become part of their everyday classroom experience.

I particularly value the opportunity to support children who may need additional guidance, encouragement or individualised support.

Classroom Experience

How I Support the Classroom Every Day

Areas of responsibility developed through my experience as a Year 2 Teaching Assistant in Abu Dhabi.

01

Classroom Support

Supported the class teacher with the day-to-day learning environment, ensuring children were engaged, supported and encouraged to participate.

02

Learning Support

Worked closely with individual children who required additional support, adapting my approach according to their learning needs, confidence and level of independence.

03

Lesson & Activity Support

Supported the delivery of structured lessons and learning activities across the curriculum, including stepping in to cover structured lessons when the class teacher was absent.

04

Small-Group Support

Provided targeted support to children individually and in small groups, reinforcing concepts and helping children develop greater confidence in their learning.

05

Classroom Management

Supported positive behaviour management and maintained a calm, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.

06

Teacher Collaboration

Worked closely with the class teacher to understand learning objectives, identify areas where children needed additional support and contribute to the smooth running of the classroom.

SEN & Learning Support

Supporting Every Child to Participate, Learn & Grow

I believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported and included in the classroom.

Breaking Learning Down

Breaking tasks into smaller, achievable steps to make learning more manageable.

Clear Communication

Using simple, clear instructions and checking children's understanding.

Building Confidence

Encouraging children to attempt tasks independently rather than immediately providing answers.

Teaching Philosophy

Support First. Independence Always.

I believe the best support is support that eventually allows a child to need less support. I want children to develop confidence in their own abilities rather than believing that an adult must always help them.
